Massive flooding along the Yangtze river is putting strain on the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. Some experts fear it could burst, drowning the downstream cities of Wuhan and Chongqing, cities of millions. But China also has a lot of military bases in the region as well. And that could have devastating consequences for the People's Liberation Army and their ability to project military power around the world.
