He's an instructor in international journalism at Claremont McKenna College, and was an Associated Press correspondent in Tokyo, Paris and New York from 1982-1997. He shares his story of witnessing the protests in Beijing, dodging Chinese soldiers, and seeing the tanks and massacre that changed history.
